Job Description
Turret Set-up / Operator
- must be capable of setting up and operating CNC Amada Turrets.
• Must be able to understand the entire set-up process of an Amada turret machine, including the tool changes, programming, maintenance and light troubleshooting as required.
• Must be able to load and unload sheet steel from CNC turrets in a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the company, to keep pace with production demands.
• Responsible for sharpening punches, as needed.
• Responsible for checking the tooling & material used during production correctly corresponds to job routers, drawings and/or written specifications.
• Keeps accurate production paperwork/records including, but not limited to 1st piece inspection, number of parts produced, defective units produced per job, communicate non-conforming items, shortages to QC Inspector or Supervisor.
• Ability to add and subtract small, medium or large numbers and to multiply and divide. Must be able to use a tape measure or other measuring devices such as calipers and to work with any/all specified tolerances. Must be able to read a decimal chart and simple/complex drawings to verify product identification and requirements.
• Pay rate per hour o $20.00 to $24.00 – experienced Set-up / Operator o $18.00 to $20.00 – experienced Operator that is trainable
