Superior Staffing is seeking for a Micro Welder for one of our companies located in Addison, ILL.
* 1st. Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
* Temp to Hire
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Will work under supervision from part drawings, operation sheets, established practices and procedures to weld a limited range of standardized parts of several metals and alloys.
Essential Functions
1. Work is of a somewhat diversified as to types of welding processes but is usually fixture and involves average size parts and normal welding procedure.
2. Activities includes:
a. Heli-arc welding; materials are usually restricted to Inconel and stainless steel where fusion and penetration is not difficult.
b. Setups include clamping or holding parts in proper position; using fixtures, clamps or other devices.
c. Setting current and voltage for proper penetrations and fusion of metals,
d. Selecting electrode type and size, tips and welding rod as required for work involved.
3. Work requires care and dexterity to achieve prescribed or desired quality and finish to avoid distortion or burning.
4. Uses various hand and power tools and operates equipment such as:
a. Cutoff saw
b. Wire cutter
c. Stripper,
d. Sandblaster
e. Electrical testing and gauging devices
5. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
6. Perform all less classification levels in department as directed.
7. Must be able to read Blue Prints
